The 118th World Series is now upon us, with the Houston Astros taking on the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Houston Astros will be making their fourth appearance in the World Series in the last six years. After completing a dominating sweet against the Bronx Bombers in the ALCS, the ‘Stros will return to Minute Maid field as American League champs.

Astros second baseman Jose Altuve leads the Astros in their fourth appearance in the World Series in the past six seasons.
Having secured the AL pennant – and as the winningest team in the MLB, the Stros have secured home field advantage throughout the World Series. Hosting the National League Champions, the Philadelphia Phillies, in a best-of-seven series, games one and two are set to take place at Minute Maid Park as the series gets underway Friday at 5:03 p.m. Following the two home games, the Astros will square off against the Phillies in the City of Brotherly Love for games three and four October 31 and November 1. If necessary, game five will be slated to take place in Philadelphia November 2 and the team will travel back to Houston for games six and seven on November 4 and 5.

The 2022 Philadelphia Phillies are no strangers to the underdog role this post season.
While many prognosticators have the Phillies listed as underdogs, it should be noted that the Phillies have won three consecutive series this post season, besting the St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, and San Diego Padres in consecutive order.

Astros star Justin Verlander, who missed all of the 2021 season due to Tommy John surgery, has regained much of his former form, going 18-4 during the regular season.

Phillies ace Aaron Nola is a bona fide contender for this year’s Cy Young award.
As you might expect, Greeley Avenue Bar & Grill will be home field to this year’s World Series. With our giant Big Screen and more than one dozen wide screens, there’s not a bad seat in the house.
