If you’re a baseball fan — and if you’re reading this blog post, odds are that you are — then you know that the MLB Postseason is less than two weeks away.

That’s super exciting news for Mariners fans. Seattle’s pro sports teams are in the midst of the longest playoff drought in North America’s four major league sports. But – and knock on your Louisville Slugger as you read this — that drought could be coming to and end, as the M’s are on the cusp of claiming a Wild Card berth in this year’s postseason. The Mariners are presently in the third Wild Card position, and have one of the easier schedules remaining. With some solid play on their part and a little help along they way, they could wrap up a Wild Card spot in just a few days.

2022 Mariners Postseason

The Seattle Mariners hope to make their first postseason appearance since 2001.

This year’s postseason will feature a new format, expanding the pool of teams from 10 to 12 and replacing the two single-elimination Wild Card Games with four best-of-three Wild Card Series. Winners of the Wild Card Series will go on to face the winners of the Divisional Series in their respective league in a best-of-five series. The official start of the 2022 MLB Postseason is Friday, October 7th.

Greeley Avenue offers the best seat in the house for MLB Postseason play. And, of course, all Mariners games will be shown on the Big Screen. With over a dozen wide screens, there’s not a bad seat in the house. And nobody beats Greeley Avenue’s lineup of cold beer and pub grub.

MLB Postseason National League

The Dodgers and reigning Word Series champion Braves are two of the favorites to represent the National League in this year’s Fall Classic.
