NBA Finals pit the Celtics against the Warriors
This year’s NBA Finals promises to be a great one, with the NBA’s best offensive team (the Warriors) going up against the NBA’s best defensive squad (the Celtics). Although the Warriors have won three NBA titles in the past decade, they actually have a losing record against the Celtics. In fact, Boston is the only NBA team with a winning record against the Warriors in the past ten years.
Who will battle for the Stanley Cup?
The NHL Semifinals are well underway, too, with the Colorado Avalanche taking on the Edmonton Oilers for the Western Conference title, and the Tampa Bay Lightning facing off against the New York Rangers in the East. Tampa Bay will be seeking a three-peat, having hoisted the Stanley Cup in 2020 and 2021.
The Lady Beavs are on to Norman
The Women’s College World Series is set to begin this week also, with the final 8 teams now set to take part. Among them are the lady Beavers of Oregon State, who surprised many by winning their Super Regional against highly ranked Stanford. The Lady Beavs will take on the Florida Gators in the opening round of the double-elimination tournament, with the first game on June 2nd at 4 PM.
