The state of Oregon has some of the best women’s basketball in the nation, boasting two of the top 15 teams in Women’s College Basketball. Between the two schools, the No. 3 Ducks and No. 15 Beavers have five of the top 25 players in women’s college basketball. This sets the stage for a super exciting Pac-12 Tournament March 5-8.

The Pac-12 is loaded with great teams this season, with 6 schools in the nation’s Top 25 AP Poll. This includes Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, Arizona, Oregon State, and Arizona State. Needless to say, whichever team wins is going to have to play their very best ball.
Leading the list of top lady cagers in the nation is Oregon’s phenomenal senior guard Sabrina Ionescu, one of the most electric players in all of basketball. She’s a two-time Nancy Lieberman Award winner, a two-time Pac-12 Player of the Year, the winner of the Wooden and Wade awards, and already the NCAA’s all-time leader in career triple-doubles. She’s also very likely to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft.

On Valentines Day, Ionescu notched her 1,000th career assist against the UCLA Bruins, becoming just the fifth player in history to do so. Earlier in the season, she passed Gary Payton for the Pac-12 all-time men’s and women’s assists record with 939.
The Oregon State Beavers are a threat to win it all, too.
Destiny Slocum and Mikayla Pivec will set the tone for the Beavers in the backcourt. Slocum is the leading for Oregon State averaging 15.1 points per game this season. Pivec does a little bit of everything for the Beavers with her steady shooting and relentless rebounding. She is averaging 14.7 points, 9.6 rebounds, and making 36.5 percent of her three-point shots this season. While they have lost a few key players to injury this season, the Lacy Beavers have managed 19 wins this season and expected to notch a number three seed in the NCAA Tournament.
