We’re going places!
Our intrepid traveler Rainer Wieland and his wife Vera just returned from a trip to the Southwest and they went in style, sporting a banner that advertised Greeley Avenue Bar & Grill and our sister bars, the Yukon Tavern and Mock Crest Tavern, too!
Our “bar car” headed out onto the highway to explore the iconic geological features of Monument Valley. Rainer brought along his camera and snapped some amazing photos of the famous landscape—
and a few friends they met along the way.
Here is a beautiful shot of Sunset Point . It’s part of the Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah.
Vera and Rainer often hop in their car to go and Rainer proudly sports all the logos of his beloved bars right on the side of his car. It surely must tempt many of the road weary travelers they pass along the way—maybe we’ll be pouring them a beer from our rotating taps some day.
As much as Rainer loves to be cruisin’ down the highway, he also loves the thought of returning home to his three bars, especially as the weather changes and the days and night growing cooler. Rainer loves to share his stories of the road while he shares a hearty fall brew with his friends at Greeley. So, the next time you see the Greeley Avenue “bar car” crusin’ down a North Portland street give Rainer a wave. He might just be starting his next adventure!
