The Yukon Tavern has been a favorite gathering spot since it’s doors first opened in 1937, gaining a reputation as one of the best places for locals and visitors to enjoy a refreshing pint, some good conversation and an exciting game of tabletop shuffleboard. Under the management of Rainer Wieland and Jon Batcheller those long-standing traditions will continue into the next century.

Center stage in our game room is our pool table and a shuffleboard table that is so long that rumor has it players can down an entire glass of your favorite brew while watching your puck travel to the end of our legendarily long table. And, our lottery and Keno machines are waiting for you to get the “big win” in the corner of our gaming area.

With a menu full of great burger choices and 19 beers on tap we’re sure to have everyone’s favorite bar food and drinks, and our regularly rotating kegs ensures an endless variety of your favorite brews to go along with our special Yukon Fries. Don’t forget to check out our weekend breakfast menu, featuring the off-beat Portland style food combinations that keeps people coming through our doors from dawn ’til dusk. Our friendly waitstaff will be ready to stir up that morning cocktail to get you going in the morning.

“The Yukon Tavern has been a part of the Southeast community for a long time and we’re going to keep its look authentic while offering the best food and service found in Portland,”
—Rainer Wieland, co-owner

The Yukon keeps the spirit of early Portland alive with turn-of-century Victorian decor. Velvet embossed wall paper, brass lamp chandeliers and a portrait of one a “lady of the night” behind the bar will transport you back in time to the rough and tumble bars of this city’s early days. “The Yukon Tavern has been a part of the Southeast community for a long time and we’re going to keep its look authentic while offering the best food and service found in Portland,” says co-owner, Rainer Wieland.

Next time you’re looking for a Portland experience that will satisfy all your cravings stop by Southeast’s new Yukon Tavern, where the good times have continued for nearly eighty years, and counting!
